But may be i don’t understand tajweed much so i like the qirat of those who has tunes in their qirat like Rashid Bin Mishari.Few days back i heard the qirat of small boy reciting surah Qaf on utube and the website mentioned on the screen was islam2all.com and i liked it very much.i want to know the name of that boy so to get more of his recitation.
thanks for sharing all the information and your mails
This is the first time I’ve ever seen a near top 10 list of reciters and no mention of Mishary Rashid al-Afasy! How is this humanly possible?
Zan: wa iyyaki! Yes, it’s very important to listen to reciters with proper tajweed when memorizing. I would suggest Hodaify, Abdullah Basfar and/or Hosary to you inshaAllah tajweed wise. You’re welcome and I hope you stop by again :)
QasYm: I was waiting for someone to mention Mishary! I’m not on the Mishary boat :) I love a few of his recitations, Surah Shu’ara (http://download.quran.islamway.com/quran/rashed/026.mp3) , Surah Muhammad (http://download.quran.islamway.com/quran/rashed/047.mp3) and Surah Anbiya (http://download.quran.islamway.com/quran/rashed/021.mp3) … But these are his old school recitations, I prefer these over the newer ones. His older recitations used to be up on islamway but last time I checked it was removed sadly.
Oh and his nasheeds are very nice mashaAllah!
Abdullah ibn Matrood is my all-time favorite. Other than him, Sudais and Salah Bukhatir and Abu Bakr Shatri are a few of my favorites.
I also realy loved Abu Hajar al-Iraqi’s recitation but I can only find one surah on the aswatalislam site: http://www.aswatalislam.net/DisplayFilesP.aspx?TitleID=27&TitleName=Quran_-_Abu_Hajar_Al-Iraqi
